New York City April 2022

New York City – here I come! After 2 years of restrictions due to Corona it was finally possible to travel again.

I´ve spend 4 days strolling around this fabulous city. It´s been 14 years since my last visit. A lot of places hade changed – Ground Zero is reconstructed, the Highline has been opened…

There were a few things on my bucket list for these days e.g. crossing the Central Park, visiting Bronx Zoo and walking along the East River in Brooklyn Bridge Park. I´ve also stopped by the anual Orchid Show in the Botanical Garden.

I´ve enjoyed some early morning walks through China Town, Little Italy and Washington Square Park.

For me one of the highlights was the walk on the Highline – great new perspectives of the city and amazing architecture along the way.

I´m also impressed by the amount of different birds I saw while walking through Central Park and the Botanical Garden. Here you find some of those I managed to take photos of.

Even thought I still find it difficult I´ve tried some Streetphotography as well . So many different people to see when wandering around the city.

I really enjoyed these days in New York City and hope it won´t take 14 years again untill my next visit.
